BIAS / SECTOR / HOT
PIVOT
PIVOT (or Follow the Leader or Hot Numbers or...) is a genuine "repeater-system", that is; you look for nothing
but repeating numbers. It is found in innumerable variations on the theme "If a number is found
X times within a maximum of Y spins you bet it for the next Z spins" or until you win. For example: If a number is found 3 times
within a maximum of 24 spins, you bet it for the next 36 spins - but stop betting at a hit. Or; When a number has an immediate repeat - hits
twice in a row - you bet it for the next 30 spins (or until you hit)... Anything like this.
This theme is quite like "Record 'n' Bet" (covered at the RECORD 'n'
BET pages in the Test Dept). There is a big difference, however, in that you start betting immediately
a repeater hits, when using the PIVOT system, while you wait until the recording phase
is ended, when using the RECORD 'n' BET.
There are two theories behind systems like this. One of them is to utilize bias, if it is present, by
trying to find the numbers that hit "too often". This is done by only betting numbers that have appeared
at least once before within an amount of spins, the user decides how many. The other theory is that in a
sequence of some length, there is rarely an even distribution of the numbers. Instead, some numbers repeat while
other numbers don't appear at all. You can find material on this at the LAW
of DISTRIBUTION pages in the Stats section.
A test of Hot Numbers has been carried out and you find all of it if you
click here. If you, for example have an immediate repeater
(one number hits twice in a row) and then bet for a maximum of 36 spins but end if you hit, the
test results show that this would give a total net loss of more than 3%. If you start betting
immediately when a number repeats within 7 spins or less (for example "19 - 4 - 32 - 22
- 1 - 11 - 19" or "35 - 6 - 35"), and you bet until you
win or for a maximum of 36 spins - flat bet only - the result according to the test is a net loss
of 2.015% - less than house advantage! (This has to be calculated from the tables)
